Thousands of police officers are catastrophically injured every year in our nation. The suicide rate for law enforcement is three times the amount of those who die in the line of duty. Spouses and families left behind often can’t afford the funeral or next month’s groceries. We’ve been on a mission to end law enforcement’s unknown crisis since 2018, and with the help of generous supporters like you, we can make sure every police officer in America is cared for in their time of need.
Our mission
Our mission focuses on two of the greatest crisis situations officers face:
We help officers with catastrophic on-duty injuries
On any given day, there are hundreds of officers who are catastrophically injured while on duty. Sadly, many are left behind by their city governments, having to fight with insurance companies for basic needs, like rehabilitation.
Cover Now assists with financial, mental, and physical wellness to help restore officers and their families to a healthy and productive life. We help these officers who are unable to perform their duties because of their injuries.
We help families of officers who have suffered the effects of post traumatic stress trauma
The number of police officers who die by suicide is at least three times the number killed in the line of duty each year. With the daily turmoil and stress officers face, they need our support more than ever.
When an officer tragically takes their own life, the family left behind only receives a last pay-check, leaving them devastated emotionally and financially. We come alongside those families to help provide the needed support.
We help law enforcement officers and their families in times of crisis.
Every situation has unique challenges and goals. That’s why we provide a variety of resources and services to help officers take the steps that are right for them. And thanks to the tremendous support of our donors, these blue heroes never pay a penny to get the help they need to build the future they deserve.
How We Work
We work directly with law enforcement officers and their families, as well as local Police Departments and Officer Associations to discover and meet emergency needs. We also partner with other experienced organizations and foundations to provide resources for preventative and long-term needs.
